Privacy
The app has no account, no telemetry and no analytics. This website sets no cookies and runs no JavaScript. The short version of this page is that there is very little to tell you, and the rest of it explains the little there is.
Who is responsible
Kapybara LLC is the data controller for everything described here. Reach us at support@stratamaccleaner.com.
The app on your Mac
Strata reads your files to work out what is using space. None of what it reads leaves your computer. There is no account, no sign-in, no usage reporting, no crash reporting and no analytics of any kind. File names, folder structures, sizes and the list of apps you have installed are read, displayed, and never transmitted.
Your licence key is checked on your own Mac using a signature, with no network involved. That is why the app works offline, and why we cannot count how many machines you use it on even if we wanted to.
The app makes exactly one kind of network request, and only if you allow it:
- Checking for updates. It fetches a small file from this website. Like any web request, that means our host sees your IP address and the version you are running. It sends nothing else, and no identifier. The app asks before turning automatic checks on, and you can decline or switch them off later.
This website
The site sets no cookies and contains no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising and no embedded third-party scripts. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
It is served by Cloudflare, who process request logs including IP addresses for security and to keep the service running. Our legal basis is legitimate interest in operating a site that works and is not attacked.
When you buy
Payment is handled by Dodo Payments as merchant of record. They collect your payment details and your billing information; we never see your card number. Their handling of that data is governed by their own privacy policy, and for it they are the controller, not us.
What reaches us is what we need in order to give you a licence and support it:

That is the entire record. There is no profile, no purchase history beyond the purchase itself, no marketing list, and no attempt to work out who you are beyond the address you paid with.
Who else sees it
- Cloudflare hosts this website and stores the licence records described above.
- Dodo Payments processes the transaction as merchant of record.
- Google Workspace carries email you send to
support@stratamaccleaner.com.
We do not sell personal information, share it for advertising, or pass it to anyone not named above.
Where it is stored
Our licence database is currently hosted in the Asia-Pacific region, and our email in the United States. If you are in the UK or the EU, your details are therefore transferred outside your region, under the standard contractual clauses those providers offer for the purpose.
How long we keep it
Licence records are kept for as long as the licence exists, which is permanently, because the licence itself does not expire and the commonest support request we expect is somebody asking us to resend a key they bought years ago. Ask us to delete yours and we will, on the understanding that we can no longer look it up for you afterwards.
Support emails are kept while they are useful and then deleted.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or the EU, the GDPR gives you the right to ask for a copy of what we hold, to have it corrected, to have it erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. There is no charge and no form.
You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office; in the EU it is the authority for the country you live in. We would rather you raised it with us first, but that is your choice and not a condition.
If you are in California, you have the right to know what we collect, to have it deleted, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, and we will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise any of this, email support@stratamaccleaner.com. We may ask you to confirm the payment reference, so that we do not hand your purchase details to somebody else claiming to be you.
Children
Strata is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date below changes with it. We will not quietly start collecting something this page says we do not.
